I'm in a shippy mood, so I grabbed this ask meme I found on tumblr:
If you want to ask for a specific ship (or fandom or character), I list a few of them in my sticky post; my tags are another good place to start (reminder to myself to organize those a little better...). If my reply gets long enough, I might have to answer in a new post. I feel like I commit to too many memes LOL (this, the TVD meme I still mean to finish before getting on with s2, the fave character meme I want to make after Legacies' season is over... *sighs*).
And before I forget, there's a spring friending meme started by @tozka here, in case anyone's interested ^^

Date: 2020-03-23 03:14 pm (UTC)1. Name a ship that feels like home.
I'd pick Morticia/Gomez, especially the 1960's show version. Their relationship is so full of love and passion and freely given affection that watching them together fills me with a sense of contentment.
2. Name a ship that you love but have conflicted feelings over.
A lot of my ships are... "problematic" ones LOL, but I tend to be very matter-of-fact about that. The most inner conflict that causes me is thinking "well, it'd never happen in canon because these characters don't see each other like that, and I wouldn't necessarily want it to happen, but I'm eager to explore it in fic", especially with some of my incest ships, or the most out-there hero/villain ships LOL.
Sometimes I have conflictive feelings over a ship in canon, but that's about whether I like it or not, and in those cases I wouldn't call myself a shipper, per se.
I'm going to go with Josie/Lizzie in Legacies, from the first group, which definitely has a lot of the things that appeal to me of those taboo ships (twins, destined to have one of them kill the other, powerful witches, light vs. dark themes, co-dependency, etc.).
6. Name a ship that most represents your type of ship.
I don't know there's ONE ship above all that perfectly represents my type, but out of all the recent ones I've fallen in love with, I'd single out Yennefer/Tissaia, from The Witcher. It's femslash; there's an age/experience gap that results in clashes between them; an initial mentor/mentee relationship turned "student becomes the master"; the older women seeing herself in the younger one, flaws an all; both high doses of antagonism and resentment and unending tenderness between them; they're both incredibly powerful individuals in their own right; a big part of their conflict is the dichotomy between chaos and order... even the fact that their story began when Tissaia "bought" Yennefer from her father to bring her to the school adds to it, because I love when romances intersect with stories about power and money.
22. Name your favorite ship from a movie.
Jennifer/Needy from Jennifer's Body. Because I love tragedies LOL.

Date: 2020-03-23 10:37 pm (UTC)BatCat. I guess this is technically cheating LOL, but I first met them in the animated show and they stole my heart. They were my first ever ship, too. And they were the only thing that made me stick with Gotham until almost the very end (they changed actors for the finale and I still haven't watched that...).
24. Name your favorite moment ever from a ship.
Oof. Hard one. Since it can be any ship... I've been thinking of rewatching FDTD (at least s1-2, with maybe some scenes from s3), so I have Carlos/Kisa on my mind lately (among others). I think my favorite moment for them was when Carlos took her to that chappel(?) to see how people "adored" her. It was so gutting and messed up.

Date: 2020-03-24 07:04 am (UTC)Hmm. The one that I thought of first was Harley/Ivy. It's a good ship with really good content, especially fanart. And now with the new Harley Quinn animated show (which I just finished), I hope we get a canon version of it.
13. Name a ship that is slow burn.
This one was difficult. I guess I love established couples, exes, and fast-paced ships in general LOL. Brienne/Jaime from GOT? I think "didn't kiss until the last episodes of the show" qualifies. However, to prove my point, I liked Cersei/Jaime just as much if not more LOL.

Date: 2020-03-29 10:07 pm (UTC)I tend to be remarkably consistent when it comes to shipping (I have like three types: secrets and lies, codependency and power imbalances, and kidnapping xD. And often just mix them), so this is a hard one xD. Hmm. The first that came to my mind was Brienne/Jaime, though technically there's some kidnapping LOL. And a lot of other tropes that appeal to me, related to knightly piety and whatnot.
The other ships I'm thinking of right now fall under the category of "I think they're cute/interesting/alright, but don't quite ship them" :/
9. Name a ship that is perfect just the way it is.
I think this about plenty of my ships, but right now I thought of Asriel/Marisa. Especially in the books (though I loved their scene in the show too; and I forever bitter that the films, with Nicole Kidman as Marisa, didn't give us another version). I wouldn't change one single comma of their story.
14. Name a ship that is timeless.
BatCat. They were my first ship and no matter the years, no matter how many new versions of it DC throws at me, I'll always want more and they'll always be relevant.
21. Name your favorite ship from a book.
Carmilla/Laura. It irremediably stole my heart and it's the reason I'm obsessed with vampires xD. Sometimes I wonder if I should watch the webseries adaptation, but I got the feeling they made them too cute and functional, and if I don't like one version of Carmilla/Laura, who am I as a person?? LOL.
