random fandom stuff
-I nominated a few stories for the once-upon-a-fic exchange (for fairy tales, myths, etc.). I'm not sure I'll sign up, because gift exchanges don't look like my thing, but at least I might get to read fic for some of my favorite stories out there.
-Why is it that almost every time I stumble onto a headcanon about how to "fix" Endgame, it somehow makes the story 300 times worse? LOL. I know it's partially because I don't feel there's much to fix in that film -I sympathise and even agree with a lot of its criticism, but they're usually about things I could take or leave either way-; what I wanted out of it was to watch Tony's swan song, and I got exactly that. But a lot of those fix-its sound directly counter-intuitive to the propose of the post itself. It's weeeeeeird.
-Really, my only complaint about Endgame (other than the fact that it plausible argues that Thanos' actions might have made the universe if not better, at least not worse) is that since it came out it seems I can't find Pepperony smut, at least not how I used to. Things like this is why I'm not big on domesticity as a trope LOL. I hope things change with the pepperony kinkmeme these Valentine's Day.
-After the conclussion of the last The Good Place episode I started wondering if the show will end with one, more, or of all of team cockroach choosing to cross that door into the big unknown, after we see them enjoy eternity for a while. Just speculation, but it seems fitting, IDK. -Everyone look at the cute Wonder Woman themed icon @seleneheart made for me.

Response to The Good Place speculation (so also spoilery!)
I've wondered that, too, although it seems odd for a comedy. But then, TGP has always been more of a dark comedy, and it would be fitting. Also, one could suppose we don't know what's behind that door. Another world? More paradise? Or just permanent, quiet bliss. Which really isn't so bad. (That's also one of my theories on the actual afterlife, that it's less of a Good Place and more of a place of rest.) At the same time, Eleanor and Chidi especially have been waiting so long to be happy together...
What's interesting is that in a YouTube interview, Kristen Bell actually said she didn't like a theory that the Good Place would be boring because it was too good! ("Isn't that the goal?") It's interesting that the theory ended up being true. And that's honestly one of the things I've always thought to myself.
I've also read theories that the "unknown" is reincarnation, which could be interesting. And they are called Team Cockroach... but the show isn't really about life on Earth, so I'm not sure.

When did she give the interview? Because if it was after knowing what happened in the last episode I can imagine her saying that as a misdirection LOL. But yeah, that's how I imagined it too -so good and pleasant and accommodating it becomes monotonous and tedious. I even said before the latest ep that I thought the team would have to reform the good place too.
